I just got fed up with the link-stealing on LiveJournal, so I'm making a concerted effort to locate all my friends over here and understand all the changes to terminology required to drive this thing. The trouble with changing user interfaces for the hell of it is that it confuses people, much like labelling the buttons in a lift "L", "G" and "F" rather than "0", "1", "2", etc. The improvement from the perspective of the purely logical mind is utterly negated by the loss of familiarity and consequent delay and error.
